St. Elijah Church
Description:
One of the most visited churches in Dubno is St. Elijah Church. It is located in the heart of the city, not far from the building of the local administration.
The building of the temple was built in 1905 on the donations of parishioners. This is an elegant temple, made in the neo-Russian style with a bell tower in the Russian-Byzantine style. Once in the church there was a miraculous icon of the Mother of God. It was a very old icon, which in the XVII century the temple was presented by Prince Konstantin Ostrogsky. Unfortunately, the icon was stolen, so now a copy of it is kept in the church.
St. Elijah Church is the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate. It is an architectural monument of the city, due to its external beauty and decoration.
