Museum of V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko

The Museum of V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko is a department of the Donetsk Museum of Local History, its exposition tells about the life and work of Baron N. A. Korf, a teacher and a Zemstvo figure, as well as the playwright and director V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko. The interiors of the museum fully reproduce the situation of the estate of the time of Nemirovich-Danchenko. In addition, his personal belongings, furniture, as well as relics of the Moscow Art Theatre, the founder of which was this great artist, are stored here.
The museum opened in 1992 in the building of the estate of Baron Corff, whose daughter later became the wife of the director. Since 1969, this building is a monument of history and culture. In 1999, the museum opened a permanent exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the significant day of the founding of the Moscow Art Theatre, created thanks to the efforts of the theater staff.
Interestingly, the museum has a club "U Nemirovich", which holds fascinating meetings with artists and culture.
