Kremenets Women's Monastery
Description:
This monastery was founded with the blessing of the Kiev Metropolitan Peter (Mohyla) in 1636. Initially, the monastery was a male monastery. At its origins are the Orthodox Volyn nobles Daniil Malinowski and Lavrentiy Drevinsky. In the same year, a Brotherhood was organized at the monastery, which defended Orthodoxy and opposed the spread of the Union in Kremenets and its environs. Under the Epiphany Brotherhood there was a school, an almshouse and a printing house.
