Hydropark Topilce
Description:
Hydropa'rk "Topi'lche" is a park in Ternopil (Ukraine), was officially opened in 1985 as a hydropark "Pioneersky". This is the youngest and one of the most beautiful parks in the city.
When in the early 1960s they began to build the first quarters of the residential area "Friendship", which surround the modern park, on the site of real green spaces and lakes there was a wasteland - a swamp and peat development. The pulp was drained there, which was pumped by a dredger from the bottom of the Komsomolsk lake - so Ternopil pond was called then. And when new residents moved to the new buildings, a wide road was laid across the wasteland, which eventually became the main alley of the hydropark. However, in those days, there were no trees around this road and it was heavily blown. Residents of the new massif did not like to walk, especially in winter.
Already in the 1980s, a hydropark was laid on the site of the wasteland, which was called “Pioneer”. In a fairly short period of time, trees were planted on an area of 66 hectares, new alleys were laid, ravines were dug for rivers and ponds. Along the central alley, fountains were built that vaguely resemble those on Shevchenko Boulevard. On the islets of one of the lakes created a Cossack town. Not far from it is a space-themed complex. Also here built a kind of airfield, where there are real planes and helicopters. This improvised airfield has not survived. Amusements and carousels were installed. In the hydraulic park, an zoo corner has been created, and - in addition - animals and birds can be viewed absolutely free of charge. There are many wooden sculptures on the themes of famous children's fairy tales. Visitors are simply fascinated by picturesque hills and ponds. Here every river, every stream is interesting - artificial rapids, dams with waterfalls. And the “source” of the entire hydraulic system of the park is a complex with water mills. Water is supplied to them from the Ternopil pond, and not by pumps, but by a natural way - its own due to the fact that the hydropark is below the level of the lake. With Ukraine’s independence, the hydropark was given a name
