Potocki Manor

Ukraine, Vinnytsia region, Pechera village, Lenin Street, 7

Description:

Potocki was once a well-known and influential family in Ukraine. They had estates and estates built with taste and luxury. Known estate Pototsky in Vinnytsia region in the village of Pechora. Unfortunately, the former beauty and grandeur of the estate lost - almost nothing has survived. There are a few outbuildings and a mausoleum-tomb. And the park on the banks of the Southern Bug reminds us that once there lived a rich family.

The park was laid before the Pototskys began to live here. Its first owner was the Moldovan voivode Duka. There was nothing left of the voivode's estate. But the Pototsky Park was expanded and began to build a new palace.

Near the park, the preserved chapel-mausoleum, a neo-Romanesque style of construction, was made by order of Mr. Pototsky. Currently, the Church of St. Andrew is made in the chapel.

Nothing remained of the Pototsky Palace, in the 20s it was dismantled, and a hospital was built in its place. There are plans for a large reconstruction of the estate and turn into a tourist center.
