Museum-estate of N. Pirogov

Museum-estate of Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov, a famous surgeon and scientist is located in Ukraine in the city of Vinnytsia. Here the last twenty years N.I. Pirogov lived and continued to engage in medical activities and research. It was his personal estate, called "Cherry".

The museum includes the house where the famous doctor lived, the park, where you can still see the trees planted by Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov. You can also see the pharmacy with elements of reception and operating room, which is also a museum, and the church-necropolis, where Pirogov was buried. The body of the scientist is in embalmed form.

Surprisingly, patients from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Volga region, the Urals came here to get the advice of a famous doctor, or even to do a unique operation. Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov, being a representative of the Red Cross, left his estate for two wars - Franco-Prussian and Russian-Turkish.
