Vinnitsa Airport
Description:
Vinnitsa Airport was built in 1983. It is located 7 km from the city of Vinnytsia, near the village of Gavrishovka in Ukraine. The airport airfield is suitable for takeoff, landing and taxiing of aircraft with an index of 5 and below. Airfield Class B (4D) (ICAO). The runway is 2500 meters long. The airfield is home to the 456th Separate Mixed Air Brigade.
The airport has a good transport interchange - road and rail for the transportation of passengers and goods in Ukraine and abroad. Cargo and passengers are transported from China, Russia and the Middle East.
In 2006-2008, the airport terminal and runway were reconstructed. Currently, the capacity of the terminal is 400 people / hour.
Since 2009, the airport has been accepting seasonal charter flights with Hasidim making annual pilgrimage trips to the grave of one of the spiritual leaders of Hasidism in Ukraine, Rabbi Nachman.
