Monument to Eternal Glory

Monument of Eternal Glory in honor of the soldiers-liberators of Zhytomyr is installed on one of the highest points of the city and is visible from afar. The monument is a high massive column of cylindrical shape, carved from Zhytomyr Labradorite, on which a sculptural composition is installed - a soldier of the Soviet Army, a partisan and a patriotic woman. A banner is flying over them. The sculptural composition is cast in bronze. On the granite pedestal are carved the names of units of the Soviet Army, guerrilla units and detachments, underground organizations, the names of military leaders, partisan commanders, leaders of the party underground. Near the monument burns the eternal flame. From the foot of the monument there is a beautiful view of the city, the surrounding forests, the dam that forms the Zhytomyr reservoir.
