Description:
A wildlife reserve (or, more correctly, local fauna) is located on one of the slopes of the Sugarloaf hill in Piriapolis.
It's a wonderful place. Animals live here in conditions as close to natural as possible. Therefore, walking along special paths, you can watch them as if they are not in captivity, but live an ordinary wild life.
The creation of this wildlife park began with the equipment of a breeding station of local fauna in 1980 on the site of a huge quarry.
In the reserve you can see more than 50 species of various animals. But deer and anteaters are especially popular here.
