Remembrance Day (End of the First World War)

Description:

Memorial Day
On November 11, 1918, the Armistice of Compiègne, which meant the surrender of Germany, ended World War I, which lasted four years and three months. Nearly 10 million people died in the fire, and about 20 million were injured. Humanity has never known such losses before.

The name of this day is “Armistice Day”, in memory of the Armistice of Compiègne, which ended the First World War. On the next Sunday to November 11, services are held in memory of those killed in both world wars: Whitehall, London.
