Additional Town Hall building

4 Mount St, Manchester, Greater Manchester M2 5WG, UK

Description:

In order to expand the Manchester City Hall, an eight-story building was built between the City Hall and the Central Library in 1938. His eclectic style became a link between the bright representatives of neo-Gothic style and classical architecture located next door.

The building is connected to the Town Hall by two covered passages on the ground floor from Lloyd Street, and on the south side it is connected to the Central Library. This building is built of hewn stone and sandstone and is topped with steep openwork roofs. From the upper floors of the building offers a beautiful view of St. Peter's Square. Also mesmerizing with its beauty are marble statues located in niches, and large stained glass windows depicting the coats of arms of the northern counties.

Currently, on the lower floors of the annex there is a community center with a meeting room and housing and communal services of Manchester. On the upper floors of the building there are office spaces, cafes and several boutiques that attract buyers with reasonable prices.
