Description:
Clandon Park is located in the UK, in England, in the village of West Clandon in Surrey. The park extends around the Clandon mansion, built in the 1720s in Palladian style for the Onslow family. The garden was designed by Lancelot Brown in 1781.
The house is adjoined by a garden in a regular style, it has trimmed shrubs and trees, characterized by clear geometric shapes, a flower stall. Also in the park you can see a grotto, a Dutch garden with trimmed hedgerows and a small round pool with a statue, created by Countess Onslow between 1892 and 1902.
An interesting attraction of the park is the prayer house of the Maori tribe, decorated with national patterns. In 1892 it was brought from New Zealand. The house is the only such building in the UK.
