Fletcher Moss Garden

18 Millgate Ln, Manchester, Greater Manchester M20 2SW, UK

Description:

Thinking where to go in Manchester to take a break from the bustle of the city and recharge yourself with positive energy? Fletcher Moss Gardens is a great choice for those who want to relax and enjoy the delightful nature. This park was named after Alderman Fletcher Moss, who in 1919 donated a tidy sum for its construction.

In addition to the delightful landscapes, there are tennis courts, rugby and football fields, as well as small cafes on the territory of the garden. The main part of the gardens is behind a stone wall laid out by Robert Wood Williams, a famous local magnate. He donated his home and surrounding areas to expand the garden area in 1912.

Currently, this place attracts the fascinated views of tourists from all over the world. After enjoying nature, you can stroll around the gardens and explore the local attractions – the City Library Building, St. James’ Church, as well as various fountains and monuments made in the classical Baroque style. Having visited the gardens of Fletcher Moss, you will get a lot of positive emotions and take great photos.
