Jurassic Beach
Description:
Jurassic beach is located in the English county of West Dorset, near the village of Lyme Regis. The Jurassic Coast Reserve became the first site in the UK to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The length of the coastal zone is 152 km.
The land area is unique in that it managed to preserve traces of ancient history. To this day, much attention is paid to the coastal zone - scientists continue to find here the remains of dinosaurs, marine reptiles, ammonite cemeteries.
Jewelers use ammonites to make jewelry, but here they are considered garbage to be removed from the beach.
As a result of frequent landslides, more and more new remains of ancient inhabitants of the planet appear.
At the moment, this coast has made an excellent attraction to attract tourists: museums and thematic centers for children and adults.
