Amersham Museum
49 High St Amersham, Buckinghamshire HP7 0DP
About the company:
The Amersham Museum is a small local museum located on the main street of Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, UK. Here are stored various historical monuments and objects of local crafts
The building of the museum itself – a half-timbered house of the XV century with a green garden – allows you to admire the buildings typical of Europe at that time. Inside you will find a lot of photos and exhibits telling the local history. Here are stored fossils and archaeological finds of Roman and medieval times, as well as objects of local crafts - weaving from straw, weaving lace and making chairs.
The museum was opened in 1991, and for two years of work managed to receive the National Heritage Prize. There is a curator who will acquaint you with the history of the city and its surroundings.
