Holbourne Museum

The Holburne Museum, The Holburne Museum of Art, Great Pulteney Street, Bath BA2 4DB

About the company:

The Holbourne Art Museum was founded to exhibit the art collection of Sir William Holbourne, a naval officer who lived in Bath and devoted much of his time to the study and collection of art.

The museum is located in the gardens of pleasure Sydney, created in the XVIII century. The museum presents a surprisingly diverse collection of fine and decorative arts, starting from the XVII and XVIII centuries.

Collections include paintings by famous old masters, Italian bronze, gemstones, European and English porcelain and silver. Since then, the collection of the museum has been replenished, for example, paintings and furniture of the XVIII century from the collection of Ernest Cook.
