About the company:

One of the attractions of York is the Museum of Agriculture, located in Murton Park. It is the only museum in Yorkshire dedicated to agriculture. It was opened in 1982 and covers an area of about 6 hectares of land.

There is an extensive collection of artifacts illustrating the history of mechanization of agriculture. The museum also exhibits household items and documentary materials related to the social structure of rural life in the area. The Livestock Gallery features rare breeds of cattle, including Togenburg goats, which are the mascot of the museum. The exhibition "Four Seasons" presents new methods of growing crops.

The museum has a large archive of manuscripts, including landlord documents, various accounts of manufacturers of equipment, photographs, engravings and maps. Historical journals, reference books, textbooks and journals contained in the library can be made available to visitors by appointment. On the territory of the museum there is an open-air cafe and a children's playground.
