Plymouth Airport

Description:

Plymouth Airport opened in 1925 and was officially opened by the Prince of Wales in 1931. The airport is located near the city center and has a modern terminal.

Plymouth Airport has a public airfield license (number P687), which allows passenger transportation and flight training.

It is possible that the airport has survived in recent years. In September 2007, the airport announced that a second runway could be sold for commercial and residential construction, but the runway could not be used for commercial flights. This decision is due to the opinion of the city authorities about reducing the need for air travel by the local population.
