Bath

Excursion to Stonehenge and Bath

Description:

Bath is a fascinating city located on the banks of the Avon River in the west of England. The compactness of the city and the expressiveness of its architecture – Roman baths and Georgian terraces – make Bath one of the most elegant places in Europe. Nowadays Bath can be called one of the main spa centers in England, where hot baths, thermal waters, mud and aromatherapy are used for treatment. In the center of the city is Bath Abbey (visit). It has a fairly ancient history. The Anglo-Saxon Abbey Church was founded by Norman conquerors. The modern abbey church was restored in the XVI century by order of Queen Elizabeth I. The surroundings of Bath are considered one of the most picturesque places in England and have long walks.

Not far from Bath is Stonehenge - a magnificent building, a monument of the prehistoric era.
