Belfast Central Railway Station
Description:
Belfast Central Station is located on East Bridge Street and serves all Northern Ireland destinations with four operating platforms. From here, trains run in various directions, including Bangor, Derry and Larne. Valid train tickets bought by passengers for crossings in both directions from Belfast Central Station give them free travel on the city's Metro.
The station opened on April 26, 1976. In the early 90s, it became obvious that due to the increased passenger flow, both the station and the station building need modernization. The refurbishment and modernization programme began in 2000 and was completed in 2003, bringing Belfast residents and guests alike to the highest European standards. The interior of the station impresses with both design solutions and impeccable cleanliness. Attention of passengers is provided with a Wi-Fi area, a wide range of ATMs and inexpensive cafeterias.
