Glasgow Tower

75 Glasgow, Glasgow City G3, United Kingdom

Description:

A unique attraction of Scotland is the Glasgow Tower. It was built in 2001 on the banks of the Clyde River, next to the Science Center. Its height is 127 meters.

The tower includes an observation deck, a restaurant and exhibition areas. You can climb to the upper tiers of the structure by spiral staircase or elevator. Its original design resembles the vertical wing of the aircraft. The turret design, equipped with computer control of the engine, rotates freely 360° depending on the direction of the wind. By the location of its wing, one could judge the direction of the wind. A stunning panorama of the city of Glasgow and its surroundings opens from the observation deck.
