Cambridge is the second English university to be founded about 100 years after Oxford.
In the 13th century, some students of Oxford did not get along with the townspeople and went with their teachers to the River Cam, where they founded the first college.
Cambridge University consists of 31 colleges. The most famous is King's College (I'll definitely give you a tour there!), founded by King Henry VI for students who first graduated from Royal Eton School. There is still a competitive spirit between the universities, the apotheosis of which is the annual boat races on the Thames in late March.
An important tradition when visiting Cambridge is to ride a boat with a pole panting, which offers amazing views of 7 colleges of the University from the river.
