Tour of the City of London

The City of London is the financial heart of the country and one of the richest centers in the world, consisting of banks, insurance companies, exchanges and offices. People work here, they don’t live here (almost!). But this is one of the most fascinating walking tours that will take us back to the 2nd century AD, when the Romans built the city of Londinium, a medieval city of craftsmen with Guilds of shoemakers, tailors, gunsmiths – aka Livery Companies – that have survived to this day along with the Lord Mayor of City and the sheriffs.
We go to the Bank of England and hold 13 kg of gold, and we see the great fire of London in 1666 that destroyed the medieval city.
