Description:
Buckingham Palace is the largest palace in the world and one of the most recognizable symbols of Britain.
The palace is the official residence of the reigning monarchs and is therefore closed most of the time, but from August to September the Queen leaves Buckingham and can be visited by anyone.
Initially, Buckingham House was built, and then three more similar buildings were completed, which in plan form a square. The interiors of the building, as expected, amaze with luxury - cream tones and gilding prevail, many rooms are furnished in the Chinese style. There are collections of antiques, furniture, paintings and porcelain, and among the 775 rooms there is a swimming pool, its own cinema, post office, ballroom and concert halls. All of this is accessible to the eyes of visitors.
A special show is the change of the royal guard, which takes place daily in the summer and every other day in the winter. Guards infantry regiment, dressed in red uniforms and bear hats - perhaps the most popular spectacle, which come to see thousands of tourists.
