Kyoto Garden

82 Holland Rd, London W14 8BN, UK

Description:

If during a visit to the United Kingdom, a traveler suddenly tired of everything “English”, then there is an opportunity to travel to Japan for a while. There are plenty of opportunities for that. There are more than four dozen large Japanese gardens in England, but the most famous among them is Kyoto Garden. It is located almost in the heart of the British capital, in Holland Park.

Kyoto Garden was opened in 1991, and the event was timed to coincide with the Japanese Festival held in London the year before. The creation of the garden was a joint initiative of the Chamber of Commerce of Japan, the Royal Bureau of Kensington, as well as one of the most respectable areas of London - Chelsea. To make the garden as similar as possible to the “Japanese brethren”, a team of professional landscape designers and architects arrived in England. As a result of their efforts in the shortest possible time, a true masterpiece of Japanese garden and park art was created, during which guests soon forget that they are in the heart of Albion.
