Twickenham Stadium

Rugby House, Twickenham Stadium, 200 Whitton Rd, Twickenham TW2 7BA

Description:

Twickenham Stadium, also known as Kew Palace, is located in London, England. It is considered an icon of English rugby, because it is the largest stadium in the world, where only rugby matches are held.

The stadium was opened in 1907, and even then the arena had considerable dimensions. Over time, the capacity of the stadium only increased due to many redevelopments and reconstructions. The current capacity of the stadium is 82,000 spectators. Such facilities make it the second largest of all stadiums in England, behind only Wembley, and the fifth in Europe.

In addition, the stadium is the headquarters for the Rugby Association in the UK. Also on its territory is the World Rugby Museum.

Twickenham Stadium regularly hosts top matches of championships and finals of various prestigious cups.
