Windsor Castle is the main country residence of British monarchs since the 11th century, one of the oldest castles, continuously used to this day. The castle is the largest and oldest residential structure of this type in the world.

The castle was founded by William the Conqueror in 1066. Since then, it has been rebuilt and expanded many times. The last restoration was carried out in 1992. The castle is still used by the royal family for meetings and ceremonial visits.

Most of the castle is open to visitors, where they can watch the solemn changing of the guard. Inside you can see the majestic halls decorated with antique furniture, various decorative decorations and works of art from the Royal Collection. Near the castle is the Great Windsor Park, decorated with beautiful sculptures and the chapel of St. George, which houses the tombs of many English monarchs.
