Churchill Museum
About the company:
The museum, which took 10 years to build, opened in 2005 and cost the British treasury £6 million. It combines the advanced technologies of the century with a scrupulous scientific approach. Spectacularity, interactivity and relevance, perhaps, these words characterize the Churchill Museum most accurately.
It is located in an underground bunker under the Ministry of Finance building near St. James Park. The museum in the bunker was organized in 1984. Since then, mannequins, maps and tables have been preserved here. But the modern museum is dedicated exclusively to the figure of Winston Churchill, whom World War II made a world-famous politician.
The main subject of the exhibition is a 15-meter interactive table, inside of which lies the entire 90-year life of the British Prime Minister. Information about the life and career of Churchill is collected in 5 folders, they make it possible to learn about the famous politics almost everything - to the sound and minute-by-minute timing of a particular day. But usually visitors don't follow the chronology, but explore the life of a celebrity as a riveting romance.
Perhaps this is one of those museums, which is better to see at least once than to hear about it a hundred times. Open daily, without weekends, from 9.30 to 18.00. The ticket price for both parts of the bunker is £12.5.
