Kings Cross Station

Description:

Kings Cross Railway Station is located in Camden, northeast London. Near it there is another station – St. Pancras. The station is now one of the most beautiful and largest railway stations in London.

Kings Cross was built by Lewis Cabitt in 1852 in the shape of an elongated rectangle. Its main facade is adjacent to two parallel vaults with railway tracks. Construction was carried out using the latest materials: glass, metal and reinforced concrete.

Legends say that under one of the platforms of the station buried the body of the Celtic Queen Boudica, who died in his last battle in these places.

Also in the novels "Harry Potter" it is said that between 9 and 10 platforms there is a magical platform 93⁄4, to which the Hogwart train arrives annually.
