Teaching English in England
Description:
English sandwich course.
Do you want to learn English? Find a lot of new friends and spend time not only with benefit, but also with interest. Well, then we get a passport and fly to England!
Is it that simple? Alas, no. It is no longer easy to get a student visa to the UK. But if you find a company with a good reputation in the embassy, then consider the English visa in your pocket, or rather, in your passport. In order not to be unfounded, I will tell you about how I designed the training program. At first I studied the Internet for a long time. Finally, when he found a Moscow company that was not on the blacklist, he turned to them for help in designing the Sandwich course. That’s why it’s called a sandwich course. At the beginning of 4 weeks study in English school, then 12 weeks practice your language in the hotel business as a waiter. And then for the final week, repeat and consolidate everything you've been taught there for so long.
Yes, you, of course, can be promised to find a job in the office, but, as practice has shown, nothing is offered above the waiter vacancy. If you are planning a summer program, I would recommend choosing Eastbourne. It is a small town on the banks of the English Channel. The south of England, palm trees, great air, sunny beaches, discos and romantic walks under the moon.
What about London? First, if you draw up a program through a firm, the cost of such a training program in London is much more expensive, and living in the capital is not cheap. And from Eastbourne you can reach just an hour and a half by high-speed train, and you are in the heart of London.
Is the cost of this program paying off? It's an important question. Given the fact that 12 weeks of the entire program you will work, from the salary you can cover most of the costs or even earn on top. But it already depends on your diligence. I didn't have that goal. I wanted to learn my language and see the country, which I did. London, Windsor, Stonehenge, Scotland with the Loch Ness Monster, Wales and Oxford. And all this in parallel with study and work. It's very real.
Where will you stay while studying? You will find an English family in which you will live for 5 weeks. They will feed you English breakfast and dinner. Oatmeal? Nope. The British eat the same thing as the rest of the world. In the morning, muesli with milk or toast with jam. In the evening boiled vegetables with pies with meat. So you'll get used to it at first, and then, like me, you'll start buying food in supermarkets and cooking for yourself. But again, it depends on the family you are in. They are usually nice people who communicate with you all the time and try to help you get used to unfamiliar surroundings. They want schools to give them new clients. Make the most of them. For the remaining 12 weeks of the program, I recommend renting a room, usually £55-65 a week with all amenities. The only thing is that you will be completely independent.
How about an English school? English classes usually take place from Monday to Friday and last 3-4 hours, no more. At first, you will be tested for the level of English and, depending on this, will be assigned to a group with the same level. Groups are usually 7-12 people, with students from all over the world. A lot of Poles, Spaniards, Thais. There is so much to learn about the life and culture of other countries. In the evening, go to the cinema or to the disco, learn Polish or Spanish in parallel. Not bad either, isn't it?
I personally remember my time in Eastbourne as a bright moment in my life that may have changed my life. And this program of teaching English in addition to the language taught independence and helped to become more sociable and sociable person. I hope she helps you too. So, I'll see you in the foggy albion!
