St. Clement's Church
25 Colman Gardens, Salford, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
Description:
The Church of St. Clement is an active Anglican parish church belonging to the diocese of Manchester. The building was built in 1878 in neo-Gothic style.
On the territory of the temple, a tower with a spire 32 meters high with rounded arched openings was erected, in which there is a bell tower with one bell of a tubular shape. On the east side of the building there are three large round windows decorated with fine openwork carvings, and on the wide windows on the west side there are bright stained glass drawings depicting British Saints.
In the center of the church hall, a wooden carved altar was erected, on both sides of which ancient icons hang. Along the nave are two rows of massive cast iron columns with simple pilasters. To the left of the altar is an organ with three levers.
In addition to the Sunday service, conferences and concerts are held in the church with the participation of the church choir. The Church of St. Clement is a unique architectural monument and is very popular among tourists.
