19 Ford Ln, Wythenshawe M22, Manchester, UK

Description:

The Church of St. Wilfried is an Anglican medieval church in Manchester, reconstructed in the middle of the XIX century. The building is built of hewn stone and sandstone. Around the perimeter of the building there are several small pointed towers, and on the east side of the church there is their complete opposite - a wide square tower with a bell tower and a clock.

Large windows of the building are decorated with fine carvings and stained glass compositions of religious themes. Inside the church, among the numerous columns, skillfully decorated with stucco, there are Gothic benches, preserved since the formation of the building. Inside the temple are decorated with paintings that harmoniously fit into the interior of the church, and the pale pink marble Altar creates an atmosphere of peace.

The second major reconstruction of the structure was carried out in 1963, mainly it touched the wide tower, which was overhauled. Church services and various ceremonies are still held in the temple. This unique building is very popular among tourists and guests of the city.
