Description:
The Roman Catholic Church of St. Anne in Stratford was built in 1863. The building is built in neo-Gothic style and is a unique architectural monument.
The church was destroyed during the bombing during the Second World War, and only in 1960 was the reconstruction and modernization of the building completed. Near the temple built a wide square tower with a spire height of 42 meters. On its upper level there is a bell tower consisting of five bells. At the corners of the tower are high buttresses decorated with stucco. On the front side of the building is a large round window, cut thin openwork patterns.
In the center of the church hall there is a wide nave with marble columns, in each compartment of which there is a high flap window. The walls and vaults of the temple are painted with episodes depicting various stages of St. Anne’s life. Above the high altar, made of oak, there are three large stained glass windows with the faces of saints. On Sundays, a service and various rituals are held in the church, accompanied by organ music and chants of the church choir.
