Church of All Saints

All Saints Franciscan Friary, Redclyffe Rd, Urmston, Manchester, Greater Manchester M41 7LG

Description:

The Church of All Saints is a Roman Catholic church founded in 1867 in Hermston. It was built in neo-Gothic style. The church is one of the best creations of designer and architect Edward Welby Pugin. To perpetuate the memory of the great creator, a picture was hung inside the monastery, which depicts Edvar in full growth, holding a plan for the construction of the building.

Inside the room there are wooden stained glass and benches. There is also an altar made of carved stone, behind which there are frescoes - bright representatives of religious iconography, decorated with gilding and tapestry. The Church of All Saints is one of the tallest buildings in Greater Manchester. In the northern part of the building there is a chapel, and in the west there is a small entrance door, large stained glass windows and a spire with a bell tower. At one time the temple was used as a monastery. At the moment it has the status of a parish church.
