Barton Arcade Shopping Centre
53 Deansgate, Manchester M3, UK
Description:
One of the main shopping complexes of Manchester is Barton Arcade, opened in 1871. The building of the complex is a bright representative of Victorian-era buildings built in the neo-Gothic style. The structure of the complex is made in the form of arcades, walls and ceiling - glass, and topped Barton Arcade construction steel domes. The building has four floors, which have one thing in common – beautiful balustrade balconies.
In 1980, the Barton Arcade was overhauled, the interior was completely renovated, and the number of entrances was increased, now there are four. Unfortunately, as a result of repair work, the decorative wall stucco and beautiful painted floor were irretrievably lost.
Currently, there are boutiques of world-famous brands and offices of various companies. Also on the second floor of Barton Arcade there are several elite restaurants and cafes. To arrange shopping here is not for everyone, because the prices here are simply sky-high.
