Market Street

57 Market St, Manchester, Greater Manchester M1 1WN, UK

Description:

As the name suggests, Market Street is the main shopping street in Manchester. It starts at the faces of Riccadilly Street and Mosley Street, near this street is Piccadilly Gardens Park. The east side of this street runs near St. Mary's Gate, and the flesh continues to Deansgate Street.

After dismantling the tram lines, the street is no longer accessible to service cars, but there are still several tram stops. There are almost no shops on the pedestrian side of the street, but you can find a large number of street vendors, street musicians, a variety of artists and, if you are lucky, even a string quartet. Market Street is a harmonious movement of pedestrians and cars, allowing access to rescue vehicles, cars for service personnel and supplies to stores.

On the opposite side of the tram stops it is impossible not to notice two huge famous department stores "Debenhams" and "Primark", attracting both residents and guests of the city. Also on the street you can find famous shops: Aldi, AllSaints, American Apparel, Ann Summers, Esprit, HMV, Nike, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Boots, Mango and British Home Stores. The huge Manchester Arndale mall, rebuilt after the Manchester attacks, offers a huge selection of goods for the most finicky shopper.
