Midland Hotel

Peter St, Manchester M60 2DS, UK

About the company:

Midland Hotel is the oldest hotel in Manchester. Since 1903, it has remained unsurpassed both in its majestic architecture and in the quality of guest service.

The hotel opened in September 1903 as a hotel at Manchester Central Station. Already at the beginning of the last century, it was so popular that over 70,000 guests visited it in the first year of its operation. The hotel is designed in the neo-baroque style of King Edward. Its bright personality is determined by the color of building materials - red brick and terracotta, shaded with polished granite.

"Midland" has a very rich past, in which the names of celebrities are constantly mentioned. Here Rolls met with Royce, after which a new era in the development of the English automotive industry began. Winston Churchill delivered one of his most prominent political speeches. Many Prime Ministers stayed here and Queen Elizabeth dined. It is said that at one time young members of the Beatles were not allowed here - they were dressed too defiantly for such a respectable institution.
