Trakver House Manor

Traquair House, Innerleithen, Peeblesshire EH44 6PW, UK

Description:

Trakver House was built in 1107 and was originally used as a hunting lodge for the King of Scotland and his wife. It later served as a refuge for Catholic priests during the Stuart terror era.

Now Trakver House is an oasis of history, which invites visitors from all over the world. Weddings, corporate and all kinds of summer events are not uncommon here, since the estate fascinates with its beauty and blows with the history and era of monarchs.

Visitors can enjoy both the manor house itself and the surrounding area, a “living” labyrinth, craft workshops, a restaurant and, of course, the famous Trakver brewery, existing since the eighteenth century.
