Edinburgh Museum

142-146 Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian EH8 8DD, United Kingdom

About the company:

Best of all, you will be introduced to the history of the city by the Edinburgh Museum. Its expositions allow you to travel several centuries back, learning about the most important events from the early Middle Ages to the present day. Rich collections of engraved silverware, jewelry and household items will not leave indifferent even those who are not fond of history.

The first acquaintance with the museum begins with the hall where a large model of Edinburgh of the XVII century is exhibited. The paintings of engravings and the very first photos are not much different from the small historical street "Royal Mile", on which the museum is located. The plan of the modern city speaks only of its expansion, but the historical part remained intact and retained the amazing atmosphere of early Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Silver is a frozen song. Collections of dishes are not just household items from which dukes and kings ate, they are works of art. Only Scottish craftsmen can cut and engrave this way. The technology of engraving on glass is still protected and transmitted from generation to generation by several dozen craftsmen. No less interesting are the exceptional painted porcelain products.
