Bodelvidan Castle
Bodelwyddan, Rhyl, Denbighshire LL18 5YA, UK
Description:
Bodelvidan Castle was built in 1460, but in 1820 it was rebuilt, giving the appearance of a real Norman castle. Currently there is a beautiful art gallery.
Whispering ghosts, terrible dark figures and ghosts of dead soldiers - all this makes the castle Bodelvidan really creepy, besides its walls were built on the bones of people. In 1829, the owner of the castle Sir John Hay Williams found human bones near the smokestacks. The castle has since been continuously restored. For many years, this estate of the XV century served as a personal residence, and a hospital during the First World War, and a private women's school, and even a museum.
In 2004, the castle was chosen for the filming of the British TV program “Inhabited by Ghosts”.
