National Museum in Cardiff

Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NP, United Kingdom

About the company:

The construction of the museum in Cardiff began in Catais Park in 1912, but World War I interfered with the plans of the builders, so the museum was opened only in 1927. The building was built by Arnold Dunbar Smith and Cecil Brewer.

Currently, visitors are invited to get acquainted with expositions dedicated to archaeology, botany, inventions, applied arts, geology and zoology. In the archaeological hall you can get acquainted with the history of our ancestors from Neanderthals, who lived here more than 250 thousand years ago. The Discovery Center offers hands-on research on museum exhibits such as insects, fossils or Bronze Age weapons.

The museum’s art gallery houses one of Europe’s finest impressionist and post-impressionist collections of paintings. Here you can admire the works of Renoir, Cezanne, Monet, Van Gogh, Amico Aspertini, Frans Sneiders, Jan Van de Capelle and many other authors.
