Altamira Square

prosp. San Juan Bosco, Caracas, Venezuela

Description:

Altamira Square is located in a very quiet area of Caracas. Although earlier, as local residents say, there was a kind of Hyde Park, where local opposition-minded speakers held speeches. Now there is peace and quiet in the square. From here there is an excellent view of the Avila National Park, which becomes even more beautiful thanks to the stele available on the square. Periodically, various mass events are held on the square.

Altamira is located near the metro station of the same name, representing a very intricate composition with alleys planted on both sides with yellow irises, and a cascading fountain descending underground. Near the square there are many cafes and restaurants. Often, locals choose this place for meetings, as Altamira is known by almost everyone in the city.

Not far from the square there is a large number of hotels, some of them are surrounded by an iron forged fence, and some are decorated only by a hedge. Due to its convenient location, this place is very popular with tourists.
