Grand Museum of the Maya World
About the company:
The Great Mayan World Museum was opened on the twenty-fourth of September 2012 at the initiative of local governor Yvonne Ortega Pacheco.
The Great Mayan World Museum includes four permanent exhibition halls, a cinema hall that displays documentaries, and multimedia rooms. All of the videos, photographs and films shown are related to Mayan culture.
In the halls of the museum there are several thousand exhibits found during excavations in Merida. Here travelers can see cutlery, pottery, and ancient jewelry. The tour guide of the museum will reveal all the secrets that historians possess: from the beginning of the tribe to the end of the Mayan culture.
The Grand Museum of the Maya World was opened in order to provide access to the culture of Mexico, primarily to the local population. And every year thousands of tourists come here to learn more about the ancient Mayan civilization.
