Labor Day (Labor Day)

Description:

This is how Budapest celebrated May Day in 1903.
The first day of May has long been celebrated by Hungarians as a spring holiday. And only later, at the end of the XIX century, the folk tradition to arrange festivities and feasts on this day acquired an ideological shade of uniting the working people of the whole world under red banners.

Even after the complete refusal of the Hungarians from communist doctrine, May Day did not lose its festive atmosphere for them.

And now trade unions organize festivities in the largest city parks with performances of popular artists, circus performances, a fair and an orchestra.
