Rakoci Street

The central street of the Hungarian town of Hévíz is Rakoczi Street. This is a pedestrian zone where locals and tourists are happy to walk. It preserved the atmosphere of the old Hungary of the twenties of the last century, although its reconstruction was carried out. It's quiet and peaceful. Along the street is a large number of coffee shops and restaurants in the retro style, where you can taste delicious coffee, Hungarian wine and snack. In the central part of the street there is a beautiful mansion, which houses the Historical Museum. It opened not very long ago – in 2004. Visiting its exposition, you can learn about the history of Heviz. In the same building there is a cozy cinema that can accommodate one hundred spectators. Winter baths are at the end of the street. Green, cozy, beautiful, this street will not leave you indifferent. It's downtown. From any point of Heviz you can walk to it or rent a bicycle.
