Dejö Latzko Museum of Local Lore
on the street Vá r utca in the Palace district
About the company:
The Dejö Latzko Museum presents the most valuable relics of the thousand-year history of the Bakońska mountain range and the northern coast of Balaton. The museum contains exhibits dedicated to local peoples (art, clothing, tools, utensils, etc.).
In 1922, according to the project of the architect Istvan Medyasai, a building was built in which the local history museum is located. It contains local artifacts, as well as folk costumes that remind us of Celtic times. Most of the exhibits were transferred to the museum by the monks of the local monastery. For this reason, the museum was named in honor of the abbot of the Latzko Deje monastery. It is located on the street Vá r utca in a small but beautiful Palace district.
