Day of Remembrance for the Independence of Vietnam

The military actions unleashed by the US ruling circles in Vietnam in 1964-65 through the deployment of US military forces constituted the largest armed conflict in the post-World War II period that posed a threat to world peace. This war claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese fathers and sons, and left many military disabled.

No nation on earth in the modern era has paid such a high price and sacrificed so much on the altar of its freedom and independence as the people of Vietnam.
