Travel to the province of Daklak. Visiting the Mnongs

Description:

The journey to the coffee province of Daklak will begin for us in the early morning from Nha Trang and continue the long road through farm villages, sugarcane, rice, coffee, black pepper and cocoa plantations. Time has stopped here. We will see the most authentic Vietnam, as if plunged into the wonderful world of TV programs about travel. Travel time will be about 5 hours, which implies an overnight stay in one of the best hotels in the capital of the province - the city of Buonmethuot.

Along the way, we will definitely make several stops for relaxation, inspection of farms and a coffee break with real farm coffee. Let’s look into the cages of the coffee-makers tsevets, who eat coffee berries, and the beans that have undergone such an unusual fermentation, roast and get the most unusual and expensive coffee in the world – Kopi Luvak. It was from here that Luvak led his report about the production of coffee, a well-known travel journalist from the program “The World Inside Out” – Dmitry Komarov.

On the first day we will visit the village of Mnong, one of the 54 small ethnic groups of Vietnam. The locals in this village are good-natured and friendly and still live the same way as a hundred or even two hundred years ago. Many of them still adhere to ancient traditions and beliefs, and do the same things that their ancestors did - agriculture and hunting elephants.

After lunch, we are waiting for an hour-long walk on elephants (after which we will thank them for the trip with a delicious set of fruits), riding on Lake Lac on dollblenka boats and a primitive gong show in a typical dwelling of many longhouses from local artists. Walking around the village will not leave you indifferent. You will see the unpretentious life and work of local residents, you can buy handmade souvenirs, coffee, cocoa, local tinctures from miraculous roots and communicate with the local population.

Continue our amazing journey moving to the provincial capital city of Buonmethuot, check-in to the hotel and dinner in the restaurant. In your spare time, you can walk around the evening capital, visit the city park, shopping and entertainment center Vincom Plaza or just chat with friends in one of the countless coffee shops.

On the second day after breakfast, we will visit the Ethnographic Museum of Daklak Province, the largest wooden Buddhist pagoda in Vietnam - Hai Doan, move and visit one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in Vietnam - Drai Noor. This amazing beauty waterfall was formed at the fault of tectonic plates millions of years ago. Its height is about 17 meters, and its width, depending on the season, is from 200 to 250. Here you can have a great free time before lunch - swim, watch and admire the soothing waterfall, walk through the territory of a beautiful reserve and take picturesque photos. On the way back to Nha Trang, we will visit with you the plantations of Hevea rubber trees, from the sap of which latex is made.

The province of Daklak will make an unforgettable impression on you, there is a lot of pure beauty, untouched nature, a place where you begin to think about how much more interesting, amazing and diverse the surrounding world of Vietnam harbors.
