S V n H nh, Ph ng 8, tp. a L t, Lam Dong, Vietnam

Description:

The bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni is a landmark of Vietnam, the city of Dalat. It was built in 2002 on one of the highest places in Dalat, which makes it possible to observe it from different parts of the city. The height of the bronze Buddha weighing 1,250 kilograms reaches 24 meters.

The Buddha is depicted sitting on a huge lotus, which is traditional in Buddhism, in his hand is a flower. The Quran says that when the Buddha preached on the Divine Mount, he showed the crowd a flower, to which only one of them smiled.

This attraction is a decoration of a nearby Buddhist temple. Not far from here there is a small shop where you can taste real tea and coffee in Vietnam. For tourists from different countries, local traders have prepared a considerable range of souvenirs - from drawings on rice paper to bronze statuettes of the Buddha himself.
