Hanoi's Badin Square
18A Lê Hồ ng Phong Lê Hồ ng Phong, i n Biê n, Ba nh, H Nộ i, Vietnam
Description:
In September 1945, Vietnam became an independent state. The solemn proclamation took place at Badinh Square. Since then, the square has become not only a historical, but also a tourist center of the city, its symbol.
It is here that some of the best examples of architecture of the country are concentrated. Of course, the main attention of tourists is attracted by the so-called Zien Huu Pagoda – a temple on one leg, which personifies the goddess of mercy and is made in the form of a lotus.
The square itself has a rectangular shape, on the sides of which there are other unique works of masters and architects of Vietnam. This is, first of all, the Presidential Palace and a huge mausoleum complex of the great Ho Chi Minh.
